Priyanka Chopra looks sharp in a brown pinstripe suit as she swings by her Indian restaurant Sona in NYC... before attending the UN's Global Fund conference

Priyanka Chopra recently gave her Instagram followers a glimpse at her and husband Nick Jonas' baby daughter Malti's first visit to New York City.

But on Wednesday, the working mom was spotted taking on the Big Apple solo as she stopped by her Indian restaurant, Sona, on the east side of Manhattan.

Later, Chopra shifted her focus to her activism work, which includes duties as a goodwill ambassador with Unicef and an ambassador with Global Citizen.

With a heavy business agenda on the docket, Chopra was dressed for success when she was spotted making her way to Sona, which is in New York City's Flatiron District on East 20th Street.

The Jamshedpur, Bihar, India native flashed a beaming smile just outside the entrance decked out in a brown pinstripe suit, consisting of wide-legged pants and a matching blazer over a white top.

She rounded out the ensemble with a pair of heels, and her dark tresses, which had a few lightened strands, styled long and straight.

Chopra, 40, teamed up with restaurateurs Maneesh Goyal and David Rabin to make Sona a reality for its 2021 debut.

The menu explores Indian cuisine with regional specificity, borrowing tastes from the streets of Mumbai to the beaches of Goa, according to Food And Wine.

'Our chef, who is from Mangalore and trained under Daniel Boulud, is super proud to be Indian in his core,' Goyal said of Nayak, adding, 'When we started to talk about a menu, he was clear early on: He said we need to represent the entirety of India.'

Chopra added: 'Sona is the very embodiment of timeless India and the flavors I grew up with,' in a previous post on Instagram.

Rabin went on to call the leading lady 'the muse' of Sona for her input during the creative process, giving her opinions on everything from the food to the fabric and color choices for the the restaurant, which helped shape the overall vibe of the establishment.

It turns out the former Quantico star also stopped by the restaurant the previous night, and spent much of her time making the rounds, introducing herself to customers.

'Nights at @sonanewyork. It was so nice to meet everyone dining,' she wrote in an Instagram post that showcased a few of its classic dishes on the menu.

After enjoying some of her own and her staff's tasty inventions on Wednesday afternoon, Chopra's hectic schedule took her to the area in and around the United Nations where she took part in the Fight For What Counts meetings that's part of the Global Fund conferences.

'The fastest way to travel in NY is by taking the subway,' she wrote across a video clip of herself making her way down into a subway stop. 'Here we come @globalfund!'

In the battle to defeat HIV, TB, malaria, while at the same time end health inequity, the Global Fund is calling on the world to mobilize US $18billion to save 20 million lives, according to www.theglobalfund.org.

Chopra also sat in a First Things First meetings, as part of the work she does with Unicef. She has served as a National Ambassador to UNICEF India for more than ten years before joining the global Goodwill Ambassador team in December 2016, according to the non-profit's website.

Just in the last couple of months, the new mother met with refugee families in Poland who had fled the war in Ukraine, and has since been calling for more support of the many displaced children in the wake of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

After arriving in New York most recently, the wife of pop star Nick Jonas took to Instagram and shard a couple of photos of herself in pink pajamas as she sat on the window pane, looking outside with her baby Malti. 

'Our first trip to the big [apple],' she gushed in the caption.

She also shared a photo of herself with her baby girl while taking 'a walk in the park' decked out brown checkered shorts, a bucket hat and sunglasses.
